Giving forests the chance to regenerate naturally!

Achievements & future plans:

Our tree planting project is one of the largest and most successful tree planting projects in Africa. Horn Africa is protecting forests and planning to plant 20 billion trees with 20 million people. Providing a long-term solution to fighting deforestation in Africa caused by the destruction of indigenous forests.

For every 10 trees we plant, they absorb 1 tonne of carbon, 7000 trees have been planted since 2019.

Trees provide so many benefits to our everyday lives. They filter clean air, provide fresh drinking water, help curb climate change, and create homes for thousands of species of plants and animals. Planting a billion trees can help save the Earth from deforestation, it’s a BIG number but we know we can do it with YOUR HELP.

We’re in the Horn of Africa to tackle the famine and Climate Crisis everyday!

Horn Trust is proud to be working with communities across Africa to grow trees and restore land in support of the Climate crisis movement. This African-led initiative envisages an 8,000km mosaic of restored land across the Sahel that will transform the lives of millions living on the frontline of the climate crisis.

Horn Trust has been working with communities to tackle hunger, poverty, and the effects of the climate crisis. We helped the people to grow the trees and reduce the use of trees in charcoal, across all our projects in Horn Africa, we worked with more than 317,000 people to grow over 5000 thousand trees and protect over 5,000 hectares of land.
